Located in Plaza de Cascorro, where the popular flea market, El Rastro, begins, Yan Ken Pon has only been open for less than a year, but is already establishing itself as the go-to-place for Japanese cuisine.
The Menu offers a wide variety of traditional dishes, from their fresh sushi, to their hot Ramen, all taking into consideration modern day allergies, such as Gluten free options. Udon and Yakisoba with vegetables, Gyozas, Yakitoria, Edamame.. the list goes on.
From Tuesday to Friday you can choose their lunch menus, as well as the udon menu, Yakisoba menu, Ramen, and Chirashi menu. During the weekend, you can enjoy their special sushi menus too!
In their large collection of literature and comics in their bookstores, you can find several Japanese authors and artists, from the classic Junichiro Tanizaki, Soseki, Kenazburo Oe, Mishima, Kawabata, Akutagawa and more.. And in addition there is a great collection of Manga.
